“What differentiates outdated and vintage?” Ross asked. His arms spanned the molded fiberglass bench as he awaited his turn. His white shirt glowed with a bright purple hue under the blacklight infused space. 

The surrounding lanes were abuzz with congregating packs of friends. Bubblegum pop that topped the chart 20 years ago dominated the soundscape. 

Salina smiled, cusping her neon pink ball. Her eyes were laser focused down the gleaming, buffed wooden floor on the neatly arranged pins ahead.

“It’s vintage... when it feels retro right,” she said moments before tossing the ball.
