jazz man

Our local gastropub features jazz on Thursday nights. We’ve made it a ritual to go. Glen Havens has been playing here the past forty years, long after he lost his hearing.

But his music is impeccable. As I watch his outwardly strained expression, I can feel the undertones of joy emanating from the deepest corners of his soul.

There’s times during the week that I stop and think about that expression and hear his music.
