in the moment

I stepped out of the time machine, and found my past self exactly where I thought I’d find me—waiting for me.

“Did you fix it?” My past self asked.

“Fix it?” I replied.

“The future…” my past self said.

“I thought you’d ask that,” I smiled, “but I think it’s best you find out for yourself.” I then showed my past self to the time machine, and opened the door. “I’ll see you, soon.”
